RFCA AGM is a success

East Midlands Reserve Forces and Cadets Association’s (RFCA’s) Annual General Meeting (AGM) was a success with 80 guests hearing about the latest Reservist and Cadet developments across the region.

The meeting, which was held last night (3 June) at Chetwynd Barracks in Chilwell, included two interesting speeches from Brigadier Harry Nickerson and Air Vice-Marshal Paul Luker who each addressed the future of the Armed Forces both locally and nationally.
Group Captain Nick Sharpe, East Midlands RFCA’s Chief Executive, said: “I was delighted that so many of our volunteers and RFCA supporters could attend this year’s annual meeting. The AGMs are very important as they give our County Chairmen, County Committee Members and other guests the opportunity to hear about what is happening regionally and nationally within the Armed Forces. Our volunteers play a very important role in our organisation and give up many hours of their own time to raise the profile of the Armed Forces, as well as conveying relevant information to their local communities.”
